25+ Best Restaurants in Midtown of NYC | Marco Feng

Grand Central Terminal is one of NYC’s most-visited destinations, packed with history, architecture, dining, and shopping all under one magnificent roof. Here, you can photograph the beautiful ceiling, people watch, or grab some pretty damn good oysters from the oyster bar.

Service is crappy, the prices are sky-high, and the dining room is always filled with loud tourists, but this seminal New York restaurant is still worth visiting as long as you know where to be – the original bar and its surrounding counters!

You can choose from 50 kinds of fresh oysters on a good day, such as Meximotos from Baja, Phantom Creeks from British Columbia, or Moonstones from Rhode Island. And the iconic oyster pan roast is still made to order the old-fashioned way by the countermen in their white paper hats.

The menu is extensive, and if you have a hard time deciding from the large list of fabulous appetizers and the even longer list of “today’s catch,” go for the seafood platter!
