Located on top of the Restoration Hardware furniture gallery in the Meatpacking District is the gorgeous RH Rooftop restaurant. This romantic rooftop restaurant is perfect for lunch & dinner with plates offering American Classic Cusine. 

Dine underneath the stunning chandeliers and take in the view. Seating options are both indoor and outdoor.

Sushi Lab

Located above The Sanctuary Hotel in Midtown, Sushi Lab showcases a creative spin on traditional sushi in a gorgeous canopied rooftop setting. 

Sushi Lab features Japanese small bites, along with Nigiri, Sashimi, and Maki Sushi. The star of the show is the omakase experience using the freshest ingredients for an unforgettable dining experience.

If you heard of Catch, a seafood restaurant & rooftop in the Meatpacking District, then you have to try Catch Steak. This upbeat restaurant offers 4 dining rooms including a heated outdoor patio and retractable rooftop with private greenhouses. 

Catch Steak combines a classic steakhouse experience with a lighter and brighter style and energetic vibe. The menu features items from the world’s best cuts, along with curated dishes for a more approachable steak house experience.

Electric Lemon

Electric Lemon is a new outdoor rooftop restaurant offering incredible views from the 24th floor of the Equinox Hotel. Here you will find a sleek interior dining room, and of course a stunning outdoor terrace for brunch and dinner experiences. 

The menu features the best of seasonal ingredients including fresh Crudo & elevated salads. Warm appetizers like potato flatbread, and mains like Pasture Raised Chicken, Electric Lemon Cheeseburger with avocado, East Coast Halibut, and more. 

Tip: Since you can get a front-row view of the amazing New York sunsets at Hudson Yards, making a reservation for sunset would be beautiful!

Serra by Birreria

Serra by Birreria is one of my favorite top rooftop restaurants in NYC to visit because you’ll always find something new. Each season, the decor and menu change to reflect the time and serve what is fresh on the menu. 

This spring season, you’ll step into the blooming countryside greenhouse on the roof featuring fresh ingredients. Artisinal Italian Producers and local U.S. farms, much of the produce is farm-fresh and sourced from the tri-state area.

STK Rooftop 

STK Rooftop, located on top of STK Downtown in the Meatpacking District offers great views to the Hudson River, the Highline, and New York City views. 

You can enjoy STK Rooftop all year round with the retractable glass enclosure, but during summer expect it to be fully open. STK offers a full menu with steakhouse classics along with modern dishes and signature cocktails.

Sandbar Rooftop

You can experience the beach right from Sandbar Rooftop, with its Hamptons beach decor. Open for all seasons in the heart of the Flatiron District, this 23rd-floor rooftop on top of the Hilton Hotel offers great almost 360 views of the city and light bites. 

The decor reflects the laid-back feel of the Hamptons beach with whimsical touches from lifeguard chairs, hanging lounges, and swings made from reclaimed wine barrels. 

Enjoy one of the cocktails from the lengthy menu and pinsa pizza, which is absolutely delish. My favorite is the Bianca with caramelized onions and fresh ricotta.

Located on top of the Kimberly Hotel, Upstairs at the Kimberly rooftop restaurant on the 30th floor offers stunning views of the city and offers a popular brunch and dinner dining experience. 

Upstairs at the Kimberly is an all-year-round temperature-controlled oasis, with a convertible glass roof that can change when the seasons do. Enjoy the panoramic view with classic, savory and sweet menu items.

Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge

Get ready for pure pink bliss. Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge has transformed into an all-pink rooftop Rose Garden complete with over 10,000 roses, pink rose theme cocktails, and treats. 

Located on top of the Moxy Hotel in Times Square, the Rose Garden experience will be accompanied by a pink food & beverage menu and can’t miss photo moments like a carousel wrapped in a custom rose print, seats converted to layered rose swings, and walls coated in foliage.

Hotel Chantelle

Hotel Chanelle is a Lower East Side rooftop staple serving brunch & dinner in a stylish Parisian outdoor garden. The patio is decorated with lamp post lighting, park benches, and draping floral greeneries. 

The menu features french staples, and well as champagne and creative cocktails. 

Plus the rooftop enclosure is fully retractable, so it’s open rain or shine.

Westlight at The William Vale

Perched upon the 22nd- floor, Westlight a rooftop bar and top rooftop restaurant features sweeping views of New York City & Williamsburg. Westlight is located on top of the William Vale Hotel, and serves dynamic cocktails with classic ingredients, rare spirits, craft beer, and wine, while the menu of small plates reflects inspiration around global street food.

Refinery Rooftop

The Refinery Rooftop is an all-year Rooftop bar and restaurant on top of the Refinery Hotel thanks to its glass retractable roof. Here you can find incredible views of Midtown Manhattan, including a front-row view to the Empire State Building. 

The menu offers a range of delicious options from  Seared Yellowfin Tuna, Grilled Hanger Steak Flatbread, and the Little Gem Caesar salad with watermelon radish and frico. The signature cocktail list has a focus on natural ingredients and refreshing combinations. 

You can dine for lunch, weekend brunch, or dinner.

Located in the heart of midtown New York, Monarch Rooftop is perched on the 18th-floor penthouse. This rooftop lounge offers specialty cocktails, delicious bites, and great views.

Ampia Rooftop

Ampia Rooftop is the modern Mediterranean-inspired bi-level venue with classic Italian dishes. The floral decor and city views offer a much-needed escape from the hustle below. 

Guests are instantly transported to an oasis where you can expect an array of cocktails, a delicious menu filled with authentic Italian cuisine, and the Gnocchi here is a MUST order!

Catch Rooftop

Catch Rooftop, nestled on the 21st floor, is a go-to downtown destination in the trendy meatpacking district where you can find panoramic views of the city skyline. The large penthouse space has both indoor and outdoor seating and floor to seating windows. 

The menu features fresh seafood and options from Lobster Mac & Cheese, Spicy Chicken Bao Buns, Truffle Sashimi, and the famous Hit Me Chocolate Cake. The drink menu features Cocktails with fresh seasonal ingredients, a lengthy wine list, and beer options. 

Come for brunch, dinner, or late at night.

PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown

Welcome to Sunflower Dreams, the latest summer installation at PHD Terrace at Dream Midtown. The whole terrace has transformed into a vibrant dreamland of lush greenery with an ascending series of floral installations made with thousands of sunflowers, plus you can’t miss the famous flower tunnel. 

Check out the whimsical, floral-inspired beverage program featuring sips including Cotton Candy Kisses, with pomegranate bursting boba, grapefruit infused pea flower, prosecco, and cotton candy mimicking NYC’s rooftop sunsets. 

This dreamy sunflower destination is open every Wednesday – Sunday from 5 PM – 12 AM through October 2021.

Harriet’s Rooftop & Lounge

Offering an unforgettable view of the Manhattan Skyline, including a front-row view to the iconic Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty, Harriet’s Rooftop & Lounge is an open-aired rooftop garden on top of the 1 Hotel Brooklyn is a must-stop for summer.

The menu reflects new signature cocktails and seasonal bites including a Tuna Tartare Tower, Sushi Rolls, and my go-to Harriet’s Margarita cocktail.

The Crown at Hotel 50 Bowery 

Another great rooftop bar with light bites is the Crown at Hotel 50 Bowery. Located on the 21st floor, The Crown offers incredible views of the Manhattan Skyline.

Here you will find a variety of classic & seasonal cocktails and elevated bar fare. Cocktails include GG Manhattan, Stormy Mule, and the Grand Spritz. For dining, you can try globally-inspired small bites including Pan Fried Chicken Dumplings, Tuna Tartare Tacos, and Pork Buns.

Time Out Market

Reopening May 27, 2021

Time Out Market blends the best of local chefs and eateries and puts them together in 24,000 square feet in the trendy neighborhood of Dumbo Brooklyn

Here you can find 21 eateries, three bars, a demo cooking area, and a rooftop that combines the best food, drinks, and culture that New York has to offer.

On the rooftop, you can find sweeping views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. Sip on a variety of cocktails and enjoy the view.

Haven Rooftop

Get ready for awesome views of Midtown at Haven Rooftop. Located above the Sanctuary Hotel, Haven offers delicious food and craft cocktails perfect for any occasion. The summer sangria is a must for a sunny day. 

You can find happy hour Monday-Friday from 3PM-6PM, and a delicious weekend brunch. 

Favorite dishes include tuna tartare, Buffalo winds, Branzino, and Steak Au Poivre with peppercorn sauce.

Broken Shaker

If you are into cocktails, then the Broken Shaker is a must for you. This is more of a cocktail bar than a restaurant, but still adding it to this list because the cocktails are that good. 

This rooftop oasis, on top of the Freehand Hotel in the Flatiron districts, offers amazing views of the city and has an eclectic menu of handcrafted cocktails and fresh bites. 

Here you can try unique cocktails with different syrups, infusions, herbs, fresh juices, and exotic ingredients from around the world.

Fornino Pier 6

Check out the laid-back rooftop with delicious cuisine at Fornino at Pier 6. Here you can find an elevated seasonal spot at Pier 6 in Brooklyn Bridge Park for dinner and summer sunsets.

The wood-fired pizzas are a must-order, along with their salads and sandwiches. For drinks, you can find sangria, wines, and beers.

The greenery offers a charming and relaxing vibe perfect for summer in NYC. Gallow Green is most known for its famous Brunch, but you can still enjoy dinner here as well.
