3 Reasons Google Has Great Company Culture

Google has long been considered as a great place to work. Employees are encouraged to think creatively and change the status quo of the normal workplace culture. Why is it such a great place to work? Find out below!

  1. A Vast Number of incentives and facilities

Google has worked hard to make their company a place their employees enjoy being. This includes supplying breakfast, lunch and snacks , video game stations, table sports like table tennis, and even nap pods.

Employees also have access to an onsite pool, gym, hair salon, dry cleaning, massages and basic health and dental check-ups. It is safe to say that Google are intentional about the kind of culture they’ve built. A people-first culture. Google also understands what matters to their people, and they go all out to provide it- all onsite!

2.  Encourage Creativity

Google encourages their employees to think creatively and offer their own solutions to problems. Creative employees can be a great asset to any workplace. Google do not mandate that employees should be chained to their desks. They can work in beanbag chairs, lounge areas, the cafeteria or anywhere else they feel most productive. Wouldn’t this be your ideal workplace?

3. They promote Happiness

People love and flourish where they experience happiness. The only reason why most employees stay in a job that they don’t enjoy is because they are waiting for that next opportunity. Once an opportunity arises- that is a job that has better prospects and incentives- they will leave. Human resource is known as “People Operations” at Google to make it sound more friendly. This in itself suggests that Google see the people that work for them as humans and not just an employee.
