Huber’s Bistro

Huber’s Bistro in kid-friendly Dempsey has one of the loveliest shady playgrounds near a restaurant for kids. The play area with slides and swings (surrounded by a safety fence) is right next door to Huber’s Bistro. ColBar along Portsdown offers some old school Colonial charm – it’s a casual rustic style kopitiam café set in lush greenery and the big draw here is the abundant open space for kids to run around or kick a football about right in view of the al fresco seating. Indoors is glam enough for ladies’ lunches (though acoustics can be noisy so watch those yelling toddlers), and there’s some seating outdoors, too. On the dedicated kids’ menu there’s not a nugget or chip in sight — instead think posh kids’ nosh (priced accordingly) like open-faced Bolognese Lasagna or Rustic Fish Pie with fresh thyme from the garden.

If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life in Singapore, look no further than The Coastal Settlement.
