The fairways and the greens are always in perfect condition and without brown spots, even during the hottest weather periods. The Moody Gardens Golf Course offers some scenic waterfront views, but you have to make sure that you have enough balls, since the water is really close to some of the holes. There is always a certain amount of wind and that makes the golf at Moody Gardens a bit more challenging.

The Galveston Country Club is one of the oldest private country clubs in Texas, founded back in 1898. You should seriously consider applying for membership if you’re looking for a professional Galveston golf experience. The club has a scenic 18-hole championship course, with 15 sand bunkers and numerous water holes surrounded by an abundance of palms and oleanders. If you take golf seriously, you shouldn’t miss visiting this place. Keep in mind that casual dress isn’t allowed here. You have to always wear collared shirts and Bermuda shorts.

The Lakeview Country Club is a wonderful semi-private club with an excellent 18-hole golf course. The course is decked with fine Bermuda grass. The fairways are open and you don’t really need to hire a cart, because it is very easy to walk around. There are no sand bunkers, but there are a few water hazards, which make the course a bit more challenging. In general, the Lakeview Country Club is an excellent place to spend the day out of your Galveston inn.

The service is great and the course is in perfect condition. Prices are very affordable with the green fee being only $15. There are more than 20 sand traps, making the course a bit more challenging. Keep in mind that you have to wear proper golfing attire to enter the club.
