If you’re planning a trip to Dallas, Texas, there’s plenty for you to do. The city is best known for its bustling Arts District and is home to several art museums and music venues, including the Moody Performance Hall and Winspear Opera House.
As the state’s third-largest city, Big D is also an excellent place to watch a Cowboys or Rangers game or attend their annual festivals, such as the Riverfront Jazz Festival.
Dallas is also an excellent place for anybody interested in trying new types of cuisine. While the city is home to several steakhouses serving barbeque and Tex-Mex favorites, you can find others offering international options, such as Italian or Chinese.

The first place I recommend checking out on my list of the best restaurants in Dallas is Lucia, located on North Bishop Avenue.
This rustic and cozy Italian restaurant has a historical 1920s ambiance where you can enjoy their handmade pasta, fresh bread, and house-cured salumi. You can also reserve seats at their bar or patio.
Lucia offers seasonal appetizer and entree menu options. I tried their baked rigatoni, grilled skewered lamb sausage, and pork shoulder during my visit to Dallas.
Don’t miss out on their salted caramel gelato or Earl Grey tiramisu if you want to treat yourself after dinner.

This lively New American restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying smaller upscale dishes after a long day of exploring the Old East Dallas neighborhood.
Although this restaurant’s menu isn’t as large as our previous entries, there are plenty of a la carte dishes to sample.
In my opinion, their best dishes are Smoked Kale & Ricotta Casonsei, Tea-Braised Pig Tails, Wild Boar Momo, and Tagliatelle. Don’t forget to finish your meal with a chocolate tart or kombucha.

If you’re having trouble finding a restaurant serving quality steakhouse specialties and seafood in the Design District, consider booking a reservation at Town Hearth, nestled on Market Center Boulevard.
This swanky restaurant, helmed by Chef Nick Badovinus, offers a stylish yet comfortable space for enjoying prime cuts and mixed cocktails.

Every culinary team member under Executive Chef Chad Houser carefully ages and cures their cheese and charcuterie to bring out a full flavor for every customer to experience.
Cafe Momentum’s three-course menu is the perfect pick-me-up at the end of a long, busy week.
During my visit to Dallas, I ordered their Spicy Glazed Ribs, Summer Strawberry Salad, and Smoked Fried Chicken. Several of their menu items are also gluten-free and vegan-friendly. I also finished with their enticing Brownie Sundae.

The establishment has some of the most intricate interior designs I’ve seen from Dallas restaurants, including hand-painted ceramic tiles. Jose also has two patios for enjoying Executive Chef Anastacia Quiñones-Pittman’s specialties.
I enjoyed their short rib enchiladas, salmon al pastor, tacos al carbon, and potato & cheese flautas. Wash down these spicy dishes with their Frozen Seasonal Margarita or Corazon De Melon cocktails.

Salum lets you create a custom burger with your favorite toppings, gluten-free buns, or vegan patties. However, I recommend their Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Lobster Tail Risotto, Homemade Pumpkin Ravioli, or Grilled Beef Tenderloin. They also deliver cocktail kits for you to craft at home.
