Mention Sedona, Arizona, and the first thing that comes to mind probably isn’t food. You’re more likely to picture epic red rock formations, scenic hiking trails, and maybe those pink jeeps that drive around town. However, the restaurant scene in Sedona has expanded over the past few decades. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dining options from donuts to vegan to upscale seafood and steak houses.
With all these choices, what’s a hungry adventurer to do? My suggestion is to make the most of your time in this beautiful town. Stop by some of the Sedona restaurants with a view that offers both delicious food and impressive surrounding landscapes, so you’ll never miss a moment to appreciate this unique part of the country. Here are a few of my favorite restaurants that serve flavorful dishes paired with breathtaking scenery that encourages you to slow down and enjoy both your meal and your view.

101 N State Rte 89A // + 1 928-282-2713
This music venue/restaurant is a great place to grab dinner and listen to some tunes while viewing Sedona’s majestic red rock mesas. Sound Bites has live music most nights and provides guests with a chill rock ‘n’ roll atmosphere and huge portions. You can sit inside near the stage surrounded by guitars signed by famous singers and songwriters. You can also dine outside on their patio for better views of the cliffs.
The patio overlooks the main street in Uptown Sedona and is a fantastic place to enjoy dinner during sunset. The patio faces east so you won’t actually see the sunset. However, the cliffs light up in the soft evening light and dazzle you with an array of vibrant colors that are muted during the day.
Their menu is an eclectic mix of burgers, seafood, and steaks. If you’re a burger fan, you’ll definitely want to try either the Santana Burger with jalapenos and avocado or the Johnny Cash burger with green chili and bacon for a southwest twist on a classic. The portions are huge and easily shareable. If you like garlic, go for the crispy garlic parmesan fries. Real chunks of minced garlic and parmesan cheese smother thin fries that are crisped to perfection.
Looking to stay away from meat? Sound Bites also offers a vegan menu including soups, salads, pasta, and vegetable-based entrees.

The Hudson gives off a swanky rooftop bar vibe, while still being completely approachable. It’s a little hard to find if you don’t know where you’re going. The restaurant is behind a strip mall and up a flight of stairs, but the height makes you feel like you’re on a rooftop bar with a 180-degree red rock view.
The restaurant’s décor is a mix of industrial and rustic with giant windows along the back wall so you can see the view even from the inside tables. The indoor bar offers happy hour every day from 3-6 pm, but my recommendation is to sit outside on the patio if the weather isn’t too hot and fully immerse yourself in the scenery while you dine. They have plenty of umbrellas to keep the tables shaded from the Arizona sun.
The waitstaff is fantastic, as is the food. I recommend the build your own bruschetta board and mix up the choices with fun options like their brie, apple, and fig jam for an incredible combination of creamy and sweet.
For a healthy option, try the Sedona quinoa salad with its mix of super greens, Brussel sprouts, figs, quinoa, and grilled chicken. They also have a wonderful cocktail list, the draft beer selection is all local Arizona brews, and even the wine list has a few local Arizona wine options.

This funky Italian-American food restaurant has three patios and two dining rooms spread out over two different levels, meaning you pretty much get an amazing view from wherever you’re sitting. The outdoor decks have an eclectic, woodsy treehouse feel and are even dog-friendly.
The Hideaway House is located around the corner from the iconic shopping center, Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village, and is a great option for a post-shopping lunch or dinner break. They’re open every day of the week and have happy hour Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm=.
A personal favorite from the menu is the garlic cheese bread blossom as an appetizer. The freshly baked bread topped with garlic, parmesan, and mozzarella cheese comes with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. It is one of their specialties. Or if you’re just looking for an easy snack with drinks and a view, try the wine lovers board which feeds multiple people with its selection of multiple kinds of cheese, meat, olives, and nuts. It’s perfect to nosh on while relaxing and enjoying the red rock vistas.
For lunch options, they offer sandwiches, burgers, and pizza.
The pastrami sandwich on rye with pickles and mustard was a perfect mix of crunchy and creamy. Everything is homemade, including the soup stock, bread, and the extensive dessert menu. It takes a little longer to get the food due to them making it from scratch, but it’s completely worth it and allows you to sit and admire the scenic vistas from your table.

Many of the fantastic Sedona restaurants with a view are only open for lunch or dinner. Wildflower Bread Company in Uptown Sedona is the perfect place to get a cup of coffee and a pastry. You can also sit on the outdoor patio soaking in the scenery.
Wildflower is a local Arizona chain that is somewhat similar to the national restaurant chain, Panera Bread. You order at the counter and they’ll bring your food out to you. Or if you order a bakery item, they’ll serve you right there at the counter. They bake freshly made bread, and have expanded their menu into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bakery items. I’d recommend going for breakfast or lunch.
Aside from scones, muffins, and cookies, they offer breakfast sandwiches, egg dishes, and French toast. For lunch, the salads portions are huge and always fresh. Sandwiches are creative with fantastic bread, healthy ingredients, and hearty portions. They do have a somewhat seasonal menu so their offerings will change. The Triple Club sandwich is a great classic choice with a twist as the celery & cilantro aioli spread gives it a fun southwestern flavor.
Wildflower has a casual ambiance and is a great place to start the day or stop for lunch after a hike. It’s also across from the Pink Jeep Tours office. You can watch the bubblegum pink jeeps drive up and down the street in front of some of the best views of Sedona’s iconic landscape.

Hidden away in the Amara Resort in Uptown Sedona, this high-end Mexican restaurant feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the town. With great views of Snoopy Rock (yes, Snoopy from Peanuts), Camel Rock, and access to Oak Creek, this restaurant makes you feel like you’ve suddenly discovered a hidden oasis in the middle of the desert.
SaltRock offers food all day from breakfast to dinner, but you don’t need to be a guest of the hotel to enjoy the restaurant. The Southwestern meets California menu is full of upscale Mexican classic dishes such as the pork carnitas tacos. I highly recommend these as an appetizer. For entrees, try the osso buco which was so tender that it was falling off the bone.
They’re also known for their creative cocktail and mocktail list, especially their tequila and mezcal margaritas. If you’re looking for nonalcoholic beverages, try the guava cooler, a fizzy and refreshing mix of guava, ginger agave nectar, and club soda. After dining it’s a short walk through the property to Oak Creek. There, you can watch the water flow by under the trees. To top it off, the staff is super friendly and happy to tell you all about the area.

You may be surprised to find an airport restaurant on this list. However, Mesa Grill at the Sedona Airport has some of the best views in town, both on the drive to and at the restaurant.
To find Mesa Grill, you’ll pass Airport Mesa, one of the spiritual vortex locations and a great 360 scenic view of the entire Sedona area. I’d recommend stopping there for a quick hike to the top for an appreciative look. Then continue to this tiny airport and the classy hidden restaurant.
The Mesa Grill serves southwestern grill fare and has an extensive cocktail list. Go for the tableside guacamole and their prickly pear margarita. The restaurant has large beautiful windows along one wall that looks out over the runway. Their covered patio is dog-friendly and also overlooks the runway as well as the mesa scenery. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see planes or helicopters take off and land!

Ok, technically this is just outside Sedona in Cornville, AZ. It’s not well-known that just a few minutes south of Sedona is an up-and-coming wine country. If you’re growing tired of all the fall colors of the Sedona landscape, I highly suggest discovering Northern Arizona’s hidden wine country. While you’re there stop by Page Springs Cellars for lunch overlooking acres of vineyards. Located an easy 15-minute drive from West Sedona, you’ll be transported from barren rock cliffs and red dirt to green vineyard-covered hills, shady trees, and bubbling creeks.
Page Springs Cellars is a winery with a tasting room and bistro on their picturesque viewing deck. They offer an extensive menu of paninis, salads, and pizza as well as a large wine tasting menu. All of their wines are from Arizona-grown grapes, some of which you can survey while you eat. They also serve a “picnic menu”, a collection of meats, cheeses, bread, olives, and fruit. You can order any of these to-go or takedown to their second viewing deck located above the actual Page Spring. You can listen to the water flowing as you enjoy wildlife and bird-watching.
Their menu changes seasonally but you should definitely try the duck pizza if they have it. It’s a wonderful mix of pesto sauce, mushrooms, and roasted duck with truffle goat cheese and garlic. The cheese boards on the picnic menu are also fantastic and go extremely well with their wine flights. Make sure to try their wine – it’s all made on-site. If you’d like to learn more about their winemaking and grape growing process tours of their vineyards and cellar are offered.
These are only a few of the many Sedona restaurants with a view that offer this heavenly scenery along with great food. With beautiful landscapes around every turn, it’s easy to turn a simple meal into a beautiful dining experience.
