This former A&W Root Beer began housing Joe’s on Main Street in 2006. Although the building has been heavily remodeled, the pylon sign is a giveaway as to its origins. Joe’s closed and, by 2016, the building was housing the Everyday Cafe. [map]

This former A&W Drive-in was built in 1955. It housed Munchy’s when this photo was taken in 2003. In 1983, it was known as The Snack Bar. This photo is from 2004. Since 2013, the building has been occupied by Yeah Baby’s BBQ-N-Grill. By 2015, it was housing Sammy’s. In 2017, Ornella’s Northern Italian Restaurant occupied the building for a short time. The building now houses Siam Valley Thai. [map]

The Owen Sound A&W is a modern building. However, there was a display of vintage photo reproductions there in 2007. I believe all of the locations shown were in Canada. The first Canadian A&W opened in Winnipeg in 1956. For more, see this website.
