Beloved, funky Madhatters Tea House has moved on, and the once-whimsical interior now has a rustic look, with exposed rafters and glowing globe lights. From the reasonably priced menu, check out the pan-roasted chicken livers on grilled bread with a brandied red-pepper sauce. Of our entrées, the salmon al pastor—with bits of fresh pineapple and cabbage carrying out the theme—simply had too much going on (why was there a crisp tortilla bowl?). Our favorite was a quartet of meaty lamb chops sitting on a voluptuous chardonnay-raisin risotto with bits of cooked peach and sausage.
