Bent Brook Golf Course – Established 1988

In the early 1980’s Bent Brook’s founder and owner, Jimmy Lee, played a lot of golf with Lee Harper. Lee Harper was arguably the best golfer in central Alabama – if not the state – for many years. Lee and Harper could play just about anywhere and had access to quite a number of private clubs. Lee recognized that the Birmingham area was in great need of public course with a country club feel

Bent Brook’s windmill has been a landmark since the area’s early days as a dairy farm, and it now lends its name to our Windmill Course.

Bent Brook’s Graveyard Course takes its name from the small cemetery located on the property since the early 1900s. The namesake cemetery is visible from the course and is not, to our knowledge, haunted.

Our Brook Course is threaded through by a natural brook, which forms the centerpiece of our signature Hole 3.

Welcome to Birmingham’s

Home for Golf

Just outside of Birmingham, a quick drive down I-459, Birmingham locals and visitors enjoy a golf experience like no other at Bent Brook Golf Course. With 27 holes on three courses, Bent Brook offers challenging, enjoyable play with a beautiful view and a pleasant atmosphere — club-quality golf like you’ve never played on a public course. Bent Brook opened in 1988 and quickly claimed its spot among the premier golf courses in central Alabama. Our full renovation in 2016 has made play at Bent Brook even better, down to the sand in our bunkers and the one-of-a-kind variety of bent grass on our greens. Book your tee time to see why Bent Brook is Birmingham’s home for golf.
