Updated July 2022! Bergen County, New Jersey’s Department of Parks & Recreation offers six public golf courses, each with its own unique course challenges and natural beauty. Bergen County Public Golf Courses: Updated July 2022

Great news! Soldier Hill, Darlington, Orchard Hills, Rockleigh, Overpeck, and Valley Brook courses are open for the 2022 season, weather and conditions permitting.

Course Conditions

Golfers should always call the Golf Info Line at 201-336-7280 prior to arrival at a Bergen County public golf course to hear daily course condition messages. Weather and conditions will determine if a golf course is open on any given day. An advanced reservation does not guarantee a golf course will be open.

The driving range at the Darlington course is under construction and expected to reopen in late August or September 2022.

Reservations are required for all Bergen County public golf courses! No walk-ins. Golf carts are available upon request for an additional fee.

Registration

Renewals and new registrations started back on January 2, 2022. Any golfer that has already renewed or registered for 2022 has been activated for the year and will not expire until December 31, 2022.

Registered golfers can make reservations at a Bergen County public golf course up to seven days in advance.

Unregistered golfers can make reservations at a Bergen County public golf course up to three days in advance.

Safety

County of Bergen public golf courses will adhere to all CDC guidelines and executive orders mandating interior and exterior restrictions.

All Bergen County public golf courses prohibit alcoholic beverages on the property unless purchased from the food vendor at participating county facilities. All coolers and golf bags are subject to search before your round.
