Get ready to feast and dine as DFW Restaurant Week celebrates its 25th anniversary milestone, teaming up with the North Texas Food Bank charity partners and local restaurants Aug. 8–14.

Restaurant Week is North Texas’ largest culinary event and the nation’s second-longest-running restaurant week campaign, according to organizers. Twenty-three fine-dining restaurants across the metroplex are participating, and 20% of the proceeds from each meal in Tarrant County will go to Lena Pope, the Fort Worth-based nonprofit serving local children and families for 92 years.

“Over the past 25 years, DFW Restaurant Week has successfully raised nearly $11 million in charitable donations directly benefiting our community,” says Trisha Cunningham, North Texas Food Bank president and CEO, in a statement. “Diners can help celebrate this summer’s landmark anniversary knowing that each meal purchased helps NTFB to provide up to 147 meals for neighbors in need.”

In 2019, Restaurant Week raised $1 million.

Some participating restaurants will be doing a preview weekend, starting Aug. 4. Some are extending their efforts through Sept. 4.

This year, DFW Restaurant Week includes a new weekend brunch and signature experience dinners. Other options include dinner, lunch, takeout, and signature experience dinners.

“We are so thankful to have been the Tarrant County beneficiary of DFW Restaurant Week for 24 of the 25 years it has been held,” says Lena Pope CEO Ashley Elgin. “As one of our largest annual fundraisers, DFW Restaurant Week is extremely important to our organization — the more people dine out, the more funds are raised, and the more we can help local children struggling with mental health. We hope our Tarrant area residents recognize this huge impact, and dine out charitably throughout its run.”

Reservations can be made on OpenTable starting this week or through the restaurants directly. Nine Fort Worth restaurants will participate. Check out the full list of restaurants here. Make sure to mention “DFW Restaurant Week” so that the donations are confirmed.
