Denver International Airport Vegan Options (2022 Guide) – VeggL

If you’re reading this, there is a good chance you’re currently standing in (or landing into) the Denver International Airport.

Maybe you’re on your phone while checking out one of the cool murals the Denver Airport is known for and you’re trying to figure out where you’re going to get a bite to eat.

Finding vegan options when you’re traveling is already hard enough and airports add the added element of ‘what if’. You find a decent vegan option as you’re walking through your terminal, but then you wonder ‘what if’ there is a better option further down.

This can be especially frustrating at the physically largest airport in the country.

That’s why we created this guide!

This guide will give you the Best 3 or 4 Vegan Options at each location within the Denver Airport and how to order them if they require any modifications (ex. no cheese). Some locations may even have a link that will take you to a complete vegan options guide for that particular restaurant.

Keep in mind, though, that sometimes options at airport locations can differ from the standard menu.

Best Vegan Options at A Gates

Freshens is a ‘healthy options’ spot that are often found in airports. They have a bunch of vegan smoothies that you can choose from (straight from the menu, no need to modify). You can also ‘create-your-own’ salad as well.

Panda Express Vegan Options

The Eggplant Tofu, Chow Mein and Vegetable Springs are all great vegan options at Panda Express.

Note: We’ve heard many Panda Express’s are running on a limited menu at the moment and the Eggplant Tofu is not on the menu at many locations. Check with your location to confirm availability.

No vegan donuts, but multiple bagel selections (like Everything and Cinnamon Raisin), Avocado Toast and Hashbrowns makes Dunkin a decent choice.

Dunkin’ also now offers both Almond and Oat Milk (though at an extra charge) which makes many coffee combinations possible.

New Starbucks Spring Items

Another coffee spot is our final recommendation, maybe you’ve heard of Starbucks. Oat Milk is now available at all Starbucks locations.

There is nothing overly special when it comes to getting a bite to eat at Starbucks, but they do have bagels, a lentil bowl and a bunch of different vegan friendly snacks.

Best Vegan Options at B Gates

Many vegan smoothie options that can be ordered straight off the menu (Protein Berry Workout with Soy Protein and the Greens n’ Ginger are our favorites).

They have multiple non-dairy milk alternatives (vanilla coconutmilk, unsweetened almondmilk, soymilk, Oatly oatmilk), including So Delicious Oatmilk Frozen dessert, that you can utilize.

A couple different Juice options as well.

Pizza Hut recently added Beyond Meat as a topping option. Update: Pizza Hut has even more recently taken Beyond Meat back off their menu. This will make it MUCH tougher to get a meal you’re going to enjoy there.

With no Beyond Meat you’re limited to basically Breadsticks (Order with NO parmesan or seasoning) or Cinnamon Sticks.

Qdoba has some excellent vegan options. Unfortunately, we have been made aware that this location does not offer Impossible Meat; however, you have plenty to choose from including their rice, beans, fajita veggies, salsas, chips, and guacamole.

Low stress ordering and delicious food makes Qdoba a great pick.

Garbanzo Fresh Mediterranean

One of our readers let us know that Garbanzo had a variety of vegan options and they were able to grab some fresh falafel and hummus. Garbanzo is located on the ground floor in the B Gates area. Thanks Lydia!

Que Bueno! Mexican Grille

On the Denver Airport Dining Guide it does note on their page that they have vegan options. We’ve now been told by a VeggL Reader (thank you Lupe!) that Que Bueno! allows you to sub any meat on a taco/enchilada with a veggie mix.

They also have nachos (order with no cheese) and chips and guac. Be sure to confirm with your server that these options are all vegan.

(There are also two Starbucks (B80, B89) within the B Gates as well)

Snooze

Snooze is a breakfast & brunch spot that was recommended by our VeggL user, Robbie. We looked over the menu and do not see anything specifically vegan but it appears they offer tofu and soyrizo. Ask when ordering how to modify and order a dish vegan.

Robbie recommended the Bravacado Toast or Sweet Potato Hash. Ask for the eggs to be subbed with fried tofu. The Goldilocks porridge is made with almond milk plus you can enhance it with vegan toppings. He recommended even more items that can be modified… check with your server. ?

Best Vegan Options at C Gates

Root Down (Center Core)

Root Down is an award-winning nationally acclaimed restaurant right inside the Denver Airport. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a large variety of vegan options.

If you want something special and unique, as opposed to just a quick grab from a chain, this is the place to try.

(Remember the tram inside the airport can pretty quickly take you anywhere in the airport.)

AuntieAnnes

Have you walked right by Auntie Anne’s your whole (vegan) life because you assumed there is no way any of those delicious smelling pretzels are vegan? If so, then you’ve been missing out just like I was.

The Original, Cinnamon Sugar, Sweet Almond, Raisin AND Jalapeno pretzels are vegan! Just order with no butter and either of the vegan dips – Marinara or Sweet Glaze Dip.

Ton of great vegan bagel options (honestly way too many to list here – click the Einstein Bros. link to see them all) and Einstein makes pretty good coffee in my opinion. There is also one or two vegan lunch choices as well.

(There is also a Jamba Juice (C32) and a Starbucks (Center Core) in the C Gates as well)
