Cape Cod Community College is an official Training Institute for the Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Enter a rewarding career, bolster your resume, or take the first step to becoming a paramedic or healthcare professional by taking our 5-credit Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course.
EMTs are often first responders in an emergency. Well-trained and well-educated EMTs are critically important and are in-demand. Along with their work in the field, EMT’s work in exciting environments including hospitals, on ambulances, and public events. The work is valuable and exciting, and we can help you get the training you need.
Skills to Save Lives
In our 150-hour course, you will learn:
- Basic life-saving skills
- CPR training and certification
- First-aid skills
- How to respond quickly and efficiently to medical emergencies
After successful completion of the course, you will earn your official certification as an EMT and be credentialed to work in the field.
Located in West Barnstable and Martha’s Vineyard
- Classes on the West Barnstable main campus run Mon., Wed., & Thurs. evenings from 5:30pm-9:30pm. Most labs are on Thurs. evenings.
- Classes on Martha’s Vineyard run Mon. & Wed. evenings from 5:30pm-9:30pm and Sat. from 9am-1pm. Most labs are on Sat.
