Elixir Cafe: Farm to Table Fresh Foods in Traverse City

Looking for clean eating restaurants in Traverse City? Check out Elixir Cafe!

If there is one diet trend that has made its way around to everyone lately, it’s juicing. People of all ages have caught onto the trend of eating two of their three meals (or more) in juice form. And, in addition to juicing, diets like the paleo diet and “clean eating” have also become recently popular.

But, the big question we all have is, where are places in Traverse City where we can eat out that offer options for vegetarians, juicers, paleo diet followers, and clean eaters? Well, Elixir just might be your answer.

Elixir, located on South Union Street in Downtown Traverse City is offering up farm-to-table fresh foods in a casual cafe atmosphere. They also feature Stumptown Coffee and a full juice bar (you heard right.) Everything on their menu is natural and gluten-free, and options include everything from vegetarian to paleo. Really!

Breads in house are made by manager Jenny Buechel. I’d recommend the eggs Benedict because they were awesome. I mean, eggs Benedict is always awesome, but this was a mighty fine breakfast (or anytime) dish. The coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere just as great. So, get out there and enjoy the (somewhat) spring weather. Swing by and pick up a Stumptown Cold Brew, a smoothie, and sit down to enjoy a fresh-made meal.
