The Girafe Paris Restaurant provides an upscale dining experience with an amazing view overlooking the Eiffel tower.
Located right on Trocadero in Paris, this restaurant is perfect for a special occasion or to celebrate an event or an anniversary.

Girafe Paris is located in the 16e arrondissement near Trocadero, which provides amazing, unobstructed views of the Eiffel tower. Its elevated placement provides a direct view overlooking the Place du Trocadero, making it one of the best ways to see the Paris scenery.
The restaurant is easy to get to by both car and public transportation, with the closest metro station at Charles de Gaulle-Etoile. The restaurant’s location makes it a scenic place to celebrate or have a meal on your next visit to Paris!
The service at Girafe was excellent, starting with the reservation. I asked for a good table on the terrace because I wanted a perfect view of the Eiffel tower, and we got it! We were promptly seated at an outside table right in the middle of the terrace, and our waiter came right away as well to service us.
Our waiter was both polite and very knowledgeable about the dinner menu options. I had a few questions about some of the menu items and they were able to explain to me what they were and advise which wines would pair well with them.
The waiters are well dressed and attentive, attending to your every need when you ask them to. This is not typical of many Parisian restaurants, so I was impressed.
As we were sitting down, we were given a set of menus and a wine list. We ordered some cocktails while looking over the menu to decide what to eat. I went for a classic Aperol spritz, and my friends ordered mojitos. Both were delicious, and the presentation was very good as well.
Note: This place is often booked out sometimes weeks in advance, and it can be very difficult to get a reservation at the last minute. Plan ahead if you’re planning on trying this restaurant and book your reservation well in advance!
After we ordered our drinks, we were brought out a basket of bread, with three different types of accompaniments to put on top: white bean puree, olive tapenade and hummus. The bread was warm and soft inside and the accompaniments were delicious.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including an appetizer platter of oysters to start. I also decided on the calamari, followed by the steak filet for my main dish.

The oysters were very fresh and delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, and the two side dishes of mashed potatoes and green beans I chose went perfectly with my steak. For dessert, we decided to split the tarte au chocolat-caramel beurre salé (chocolate-salted caramel tart, yum) and it was absolutely amazing!
The tart was wonderful, with a crispy shell and a warm gooey center. The ice cream served with it was rich and creamy as well, going beautifully with the tart.
Note: I had another dinner reservation at another restaurant for later that night, but after eating the food here I didn’t want to eat anywhere else! Everything here was so delicious, I think this may have been the best meal I’ve ever had!
One of the downsides to Girafe Paris Restaurant is that the price is very high, with an entrée (appetizer) alone costing 20 euros or more. This place is definitely not an everyday restaurant, but is definitely a good for a special occasion to have a nice meal with friends or your significant other.
Since it is an upscale restaurant, there are no set prices for Girafe. Everything on the menu has a certain price to it, depending on your dish and how it is prepared. If you’re ordering seafood or fish, the price will likely be listed at ‘Market Rate’ and the exact price won’t be listed on the menu. You can expect to spend at least €45-60 per person.
If you like to drink, you will also expect to spend a bit on drinks as well (about €10-25).
But, I think it is well worth the price considering the quality of food and service you receive here. The view from the restaurant is spectacular as well! It’s definitely an experience that everyone should try at least once in their lives!

Girafe is not the best option if you are on a budget, but it can be an amazing experience. The food here is delectable and the atmosphere is truly one of a kind.
The portion sizes were perfect, and the quality of the food was great.
For this place, I think it’s worth every single cent!
If you like upscale restaurants with amazing views, I highly recommend Girafe! However, if you are looking for more casual dining experience or a place to eat more on the cheap, this is probably not the best choice.
