We had a party of 7 and was able to make a reservation within 2 days on their website. We actually made 2 reservation, one for 2 and another for 7. We called the restaurant and they were able put us together. The restaurant had us sitting on the rooftop. It was a very hot day and the large umbrellas provided much needed shade. The bad thing about having the umbrella was it blocked a clear view of the Eiffel Tower. About the food. It was tasty and different. Not necessarily bad different but different. I ate mostly the steak but I tasted everything. The only thing I thought was kind of tasteless was ravioli. Everything else was great. We were there for over 3 hours. I thought they oversold the view of the Eiffel Tower. The umbrellas really took away from the view. When you go to take a picture you are standing amongst people dining there and I felt awkward. Wonderful location and surprisingly good food

I thought would be style over substance but it surprised with the quality dishes and value if you can believe for the area . The location is unbeatable with amazing views of Eiffel Tower. The menu is simple but very well executed and it’s a wonderful place to spend a few hours sipping on chilled rose and nibbling on taste lunch dishes. Try the squid , grilled avocado salad , and oysters were phenomenal .

It has a large price tag and a lot of hype, and I believe it nearly lived up to it all. The service was fantastic. It was a slow meal, but that’s how it is a place like this so I didn’t mind too much. If you want quick service and don’t want to wait then this might not be your best choice. The ambiance was great. Nice upscale vibe, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating. I did find the restaurant to be quite small and we were seated really close to another table and were forced to overhear their conversations, that was quite unfortunate. Luckily they left just 20 minutes into our meal. The food was delicious. We had a good variety of dishes. Artichoke appetizer which was fantastic and I highly recommend giving it a try. The lamb was delicious and tender. The Cod was great too, but I think the winner was for sure the lobster pasta. It was insanely good, and I recommend getting it over anything else. Overall, Girafe was a fantastic experience. I’m not sure it was worth the huge price tag, but I definitely think it’s worth having if you find yourself in Paris and are looking for more upscale dining. Give it a try!

One of our favorite meals in Paris

Wow, what a perfect last dinner in Paris. This was one of only a couple reservations I absolutely insisted we have made while in France. We were seated right as the restaurant opened. The view is obviously stunning…I was awestruck by the Iron Lady the entire dinner. But the food and drink were just as spectacular. I started off with a spin on the classic mojito and it was delicious. We enjoyed caviar before our main courses. I had the lobster linguine and my husband had the sea bass, both were excellent. We finished with the red fruit pavlova which tasted just as good as it looked. There were a lot of French diners amongst us which to me meant this wasn’t some tourist trap, it’s an outstanding restaurant (much better than the Michelin starred restaurant we ate at the night before). I would recommend this restaurant 1000% and look forward to dining here again! The only negative to being seated outside meant you were subject to smokers, but that’s France for you. The patio is large enough that they really could separate smokers from nonsmokers…something to consider! Also if you can’t score a reservation, we saw many people arrive just before the restaurant opened and they added their name to the list and were seated at various points while we were dining.

Such a waste of time

I had thought this would be a great restaurant for a special occasion and spent so much time trying to ring and book. You get put straight through to a French message then it rings a few more times and then cuts off. I also tried their web booking system but it never showed any availability. After many days the phone was finally answered and was told they only take bookings a week in advance. So I waited and ring back at the right time (9.30-12.00pm) but never got through again despite ringing umpteen times over several days (and still no availability on website). Very disappointed. When we arrived in Paris (after s long flight from New Zealand) we walked for over an hour in 40degrees to try and speak to a person and the man at the door wouldn’t let us in (restaurant was closed between lunch and dinner). We saw a man putting down the umbrellas and he said to go back to the door and he’d come round but we waited 15 minutes and he didn’t. By now I was not even surprised! Thankfully there are so many lovely restaurants in Paris with great service.

Very nice and upscale dining experience! Everything from being seated, the food, service, and ambience were great. Luckily got reservations a few weeks before, but if you can’t would recommend going there and ask for one/ walk-in. Although it was booked, they were still seating additional parties. The outside terrace is beautiful. Tried the oysters, yellowtail, cod, lamb chops, all were excellent!! Gave 4 stars only for price since portions were decent but would have expected a bit more. Personally had a great waitress and service was on point with everything, would definitely recommend

View of Eiffel Tower but you can get that outside the restaurant. Waitstaff we had was disorganized and seemed unable to manage his tables. My food was served Luke warm. Biggest mistake we made on our trip.

It’s located in the museum and has a perfect view of the Eiffel. You can spend the morning walking through the gardens and have a nice lunch. It’s interesting a lot of reviews talk about it being a tourist trap. Obviously the location is to die for but the food is superb on its own. You definitely need a reservation. We lucked out with probably the best table in the house in the corner with the perfect view. The tuna, yellowtail, and sea bream were fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. If you had to go with one- I’d go with the tuna or yellowtail but it’s a tough toss up. We got an assortment of oysters and they were on the larger side with plenty of algae of the shell, yum! The lobster ravioli only comes with 2 pieces and although it’s good, it’s prob not entirely worth the price. The cod is delicious and simply done with a light and complimentary sauce. Service is a bit slower, it’s a French restaurant after all where people relax and enjoy the pass time of food with good company. If you have the opportunity, I definitely recommend a splurge and a meal here!

I heard about this place on TikTok so it is to give it a visit. People have mixed opinions about this place I’m say that it’s the best restaurant they’ve been to imperie while others say that all they sell are overpriced seafood platters. Overpriced, yes. Delectable? Also yes. My family and I really really enjoyed the ambience food and service at giraffe the night we were there. We snagged a reservation and were seated at a corner sofa table which was very comfy! They have a concierge-ish coat check area where you can put all of your belongings including oversized items such as the shopping bags we were carrying from earlier that day. If you’re willing to splurge a little would highly recommend. Really want to return for when they open up the outdoor area!

Elitist Staff, Subpar Food

We had made a reservation a week before our trip to Paris for girafe, upon arrival we were rudely asked to wait outside while our table was being set (we waited over 20 minutes as a queue formed outside the restaurant).
When we were finally able to wait inside, we watched as one of the hostesses barked rudely at some of the other customers, and one slammed into a guest ripping her paper shopping bag – she stormed off without saying so much as ‘sorry’.
After waiting for 30 minutes, we were then told that the outside seating was closed and we were shuffled round the back, without so much as a suggestion of a view of the Eiffel towel (which is the entire appeal of the restaurant).
The ambiance was uncomfortable, and we were surrounded by glib Instagram influencers, who were more concerned with taking pictures of their food than speaking to each other, while the hostesses cooed over their Chanel bags and offered false compliments before turning around and rolling their eyes.
Aside from the disgusting attitudes of the hostesses and superficial atmosphere, the food was shockingly subpar considering the price point and reputation of the restaurant. The desserts were fine, but certainly not worth the trip to girafe.
I would rather flush €200 down the toilet than spend it in girafe again.
