Industry Specific Partnership with Electrical Engineering at The University of Texas at Arlington

The EE Department views its Mentoring Program as an important and unique component of
the University’s contribution to industrial sponsors and their employees. This Program is built
on UTA’s academic research and project courses. Each course’s area of study is organized
under the guidance of an EE Department faculty member, the mentoring sponsor and the
student.

Mentoring studies organized under the guidance of a faculty member are structured course
enrollments determined by the student’s undergraduate or graduate academic classification.
Students are individually enrolled in the applicable course with the consent of the instructor and
these opportunities are always available during an academic semester. Course presentation and
delivery structures can be separately developed in partnership discussions including those of the
ISP Program. Typical courses designated for studies of this nature include:

  • EE 4340 CONCEPTS & EXERCISES IN ENGINEERING PRACTICE (Undergraduate Program)
  • EE 4349 ENGINEERING DESIGN PROJECT (Undergraduate Program)
  • EE 5391 ADVANCED STUDY IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (Graduate Program)
  • EE 5392 PROJECT IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING (Graduate Program)
