On the Menu: The Landmark Restaurant

The Warwick Melrose Hotel, Dallas is proud to showcase a culinary team led by Chef Jeff Moschetti. This creative team has been honored with the AAA Four Diamond award the prestigious DiRoNA award and the Wine Spectator award. In a city that boasts the highest number of restaurants per capita, The Landmark Restaurant is sure to become your favorite the first time you pass through its doors.

If you find yourself enjoying the Landmark’s soothingly elegant ambience—creamy yellow walls, pale blue molding, swag drapery, and black and white tile floors—so much that you can’t bear to leave, then just check in at the hotel where the Landmark is located. The Melrose is, in fact, a Dallas landmark itself. Located in the Oak Lawn area near chi-chi restaurants and shops, this European-style hotel has spacious and comfortable rooms, a famous bar (the Library), and good food at the Landmark restaurant.

Landmark PhotographWith classical music wafting through the air, lunch at the Landmark can be remarkably antidotal to a day in the big city. Menu offerings tend toward European, with decidedly Southwestern leanings. But just because the Old World atmosphere is decorous, don’t assume that the food is too. Spicy Louisiana crawfish cakes sided with a zingy mustard green Creole cream sauce reinterprets a Southern standby. If you want to really liven up your evening, try the onion seed encrusted ahi tuna with a biting wasabi. Smoky tomato-basil soup or the grilled portobello mushroom as big as a hamburger are just the thing on a blustery winter day.

On Sunday mornings, treat yourself to brunch at the Landmark—a lavish affair that will leave you wowed. Brioche French toast, smoked salmon, strawberry-banana pancakes, and green chili grilled flank steak aren’t for the diet-conscious, but who’s counting at breakfast anyway? The Landmark is a good place to go for special occasions—but it’s also a good place to go to make any occasion special.
