At Kilmarlic Golf Club, you’ll find a stunning 605-acre course designed by famous architect Tom Steele. The course here has been consistently ranked among the top courses on the Outer Banks! The scenery around the course is just breathtaking, as you can see natural features like dogwoods, oaks, saltwater and freshwater ponds, and more.
You can also take advantage of the other features of the Kilmarlic Golf Club, including a full bar and grill, a luxurious golf shop, and so much more. Be sure to take some time to dine at the Black Tartan Tap Room, which offers panoramic views of the course from right behind the 18th green.
Kilmarlic Golf Club is located at 215 Westside Lane in Powell’s Point. Guest tee times are available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are typically priced at around $100.
The Carolina Club
When you head to the Carolina Club, you’ll have access to nearly 7,000 yards of professional-level course, providing some of the best Outer Banks golf you can find. The Currituck Club
At the Currituck Club, you’ll find an 18-hole Bermuda grass-lined course designed by the talented Rees Jones. Both maritime forest and shoreline make up this course, and the challenging conditions have made the 6,885-yard greenway one of the state’s top 25 golf courses.
You can also grab a delicious meal before or after your tee time at Hunt Club Tavern. There’s a huge menu available for the entire family, including an expansive kids’ menu! You can enjoy a tee time while those who aren’t interested in golf do something else, then you can all come together for a great meal.
The Currituck Club is located at 620 Currituck Clubhouse Drive in Corolla. Tee times are available from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rates can range from $70 to $125.
Nags Head Golf Links
Nags Head Golf Links provides the ultimate blend of Scottish links tradition with Outer Banks originality. The course here was designed by Bob Moore, a world-renowned architect. Golf Digest has consistently sung the praises of this 6,126-yard course, which offers a challenge for golfers of all skill levels and a breathtaking view of the Roanoke Sound.
After your tee time, visit the sound sidebar and grille to grab a bite to eat or relax with a refreshing drink. Nags Head Golf Links also offers a driving range and practice green for you to warm up, group clinics and private lessons taught by PGA professionals, and a fully stocked golf shop.
Nags Head Golf Links is located at 5615 South Seachange Drive in Nags Head. Tee times are available from 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rates for 18 holes can range from $75 to $135.
Holly Ridge Golf Course
Holly Ridge Golf Course provides a beautiful 5,5330-yard course that’s a great option for players of all skill levels, whether you just play occasionally for fun or you consider yourself a seasoned pro. Start off on the practice putting green or head straight onto the course to test your skills. Either way, you’ll be taken through some breathtaking scenery while you try to stay under par.
On top of the course itself, you will also have access to a lighted driving range with an automated ball machine, perfect for practicing or getting in a few quick swings. There is also a fully stocked pro shop with beer on tap and chilled wine to enjoy.
Holly Ridge Golf Course is located at 8188 Caratoke Highway in Harbinger. Tee times are available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. Rates vary by season.
Sea Scape Golf Links
Finally, Sea Scape Golf Links showcases the gorgeous landscape of the Outer Banks by taking you through maritime forest and sand dunes.
