To join a class, you can simply click on the video and begin to watch, there is no additional signing up required.

If you wish to do the projects talked about in certain Skillshare classes, you have the option to do so in the Projects and Resources tab. This is where you can create a project based off of the class.

You can then publish it and make it public once you have completed it. You can also add it to your profile as an extra measure.

With Skillshare, there are no deadlines or a certain amount of classes or projects that you must do. You are free to start and stop classes as you wish to.

Because Skillshare is a subscription-based service, you can watch as many classes as you like without any extra charge. You will be charged the regular fee every month no matter how often you use Skillshare.

Is Skillshare Good?

Does Skillshare Give Certificates?

Skillshare does not offer any certificates after you have completed a class. This is because any certificates they would gave out would not hold any value. If you acquired new knowledge and skills, you can add this information to your job resume or CV.

Skillshare is very forthright about the fact that they are a learning community platform. They are not a recognized educational platform and cannot give out certificates or degrees.

They encourage people to complete projects and add them to their profiles to look back at what they have accomplished. But they do not offer any kind of reward or certification for completing classes.

I think Skillshare is worth it for most people.

Whether or not Skillshare is worth your time and money will greatly depend on why you want to use it. If you actually want to continually learn things and broaden your knowledge, it is a great option.

Skillshare is also a great way to actively use your free time. Using it to learn new things and participate in projects with your favorite content creators.

If you only want to learn about a particular topic or don’t plan on using it often, Skillshare might not be the right option for you. Since it does come with a subscription fee, you want to use Skillshare often enough to make it worthwhile.

If you only use it a few times a month, it won’t be worth the money you are paying for it. Other options like free learning platforms and Youtube would be more affordable options.

But if you know that you are going to routinely use Skillshare, it can be worth the money completely. It offers you a huge amount of resources in a simple-to-find format.

It is a great platform to learn new things or brush up on old and forgotten skills. Most Skillshare teachers are really good at explaining things.

Is Skillshare Better Than Youtube?

Skillshare and Youtube are very similar in many aspects, especially since both are video-based. Both also offer education in various formats from various people.

You could easily learn many of the same things that you learn on Skillshare on Youtube. If you look hard enough, you may even find the exact same information.

Many Youtubers even teach on Skillshare, offering more in-depth classes on what they normally teach on Youtube.

The big benefit to using Skillshare instead of Youtube is that you can find all of the information that you need much faster. Unlike Youtube, Skillshare maintains a certain level of sophistication. So, you will find much better quality classes on Skillshare.

Classes are also easier to find on Skillshare as you do not have to sort through hundreds of old and poor-quality videos. Skillshare is much more organized.

Skillshare is also more relevant and will offer more recent free classes with more accurate information. They will be taught better and displayed in a more pleasing light.

If you just need to learn about one thing for a certain reason, Youtube would probably work just fine. But if you really want to learn in-depth about a subject, Skillshare is a better bet.

Is SkillShare Free?

Despite popular belief, Skillshare is not a website where you can go to watch free classes and learn new things. They do offer a free trial period but that will eventually end.

When you go to sign up for Skillshare, you will have the option to use a free trial or to start a Skillshare premium membership. The free trial lasts for one month and gives you access to all available classes.

Without a membership, and after your free trial has ended, you can still see the classes that are available. But you cannot get into any of them as they are locked.

A monthly Skillshare membership costs about $19 per month, but you can also sign up for their annual plan. An annual plan will shave off a few dollars for each month of Skillshare. With this, you will have unlimited access to the online courses.

This is why Skillshare is oftentimes cheaper than other online learning platforms since you do not have to pay per class. No matter how many classes you watch, Skillshare will still charge you the same monthly fee.

This makes Skillshare very useful; if you plan on following several skillshare courses a month and do not want to rake up a huge bill.

Can You Cancel Skillshare?

Whether you are using the Skillshare free trial or have signed up for a subscription, you can cancel at any time.

You can cancel a free trial if you decide that you do not want to use Skillshare. Or you can cancel your membership if you no longer want to pay for Skillshare.

To cancel on Skillshare, you will need to use a desktop or mobile web browser to do so on the Skillshare website. Here you can log into your account and choose the cancel option in your settings.

If you are canceling a membership, you can always start it up again later if you change your mind. It will save your information and pick up right where you left off.

Is Skillshare Work Graded?

Skillshare work is not grades as of right now. This is because many educators on Skillshare do not have the time and resources to do so.

Grading work would also take away from the general laid-back feel of Skillshare that people enjoy. Completing projects is encouraged but not required, and no submitted projects will be graded.

This creates a more relaxed and enjoyable learning experience where no one feels pressured to do the work. It also encourages people to do the projects for fun to test out their newly acquired skills.

Can You Interact on Skillshare?

Anyone who uses Skillshare will also have the opportunity to interact with other people on Skillshare.

For each class that you are watching, there is a discussion board for all of the students. In this board, you can ask questions, add impute, start discussions, and share personal experiences.

This is one of the things that really makes Skillshare a learning community. As students are able to interact directly with each other. Building a better sense of community and team spirit within each class.

This is not only a great online learning platform to learn more and acquire more information. These discussion boards allow you to connect with like-minded people.

If you are taking Skillshare courses on starting a business, you can interact with other business owners. Or, if you are getting into sewing, you can discuss your goals with other sewing beginners.

This is a great place if you want to have a feeling of community within your classes. Unlike other learning platforms, Skillshare creates a sense of community. Making it feel more like an interactive class than a video that you are watching alone.

Can I Put Skillshare on My Resume?

Because Skillshare doesn’t give out any kind of certificates, there isn’t much point in putting it on your resume. You could, but it actually may do more harm than good.

Most employers will not take Skillshare classes seriously and won’t acknowledge their completion. You could actually hurt your chances of landing a job by presenting Skillshare as a form of education.

It is not typically known for its professional education, so it will not look very impressive on a resume. Especially as there is no certificate to go along with it.

Can You Share a Skillshare Membership With Other People?

Because Skillshare comes with a membership fee, you may want to have multiple people on one Skillshare account. Much like you would with a shared Netflix account.

Though Skillshare does not necessarily address this question itself. Many Skillshare students share their accounts with friends and family.

This allows multiple people to use the same Skillshare account while only having to pay one membership fee per month. This is a great way to save money if multiple people want to use Skillshare.

As long as they know your account information, other people can use your Skillshare account./ the only issue that you might run into is having multiple people using Skillshare at the same time.

You can run into issues if you and someone else are actively using Skillshare at the same time. This could cause the site to glitch or kick you out.

Try to use Skillshare at different times to avoid running into this issue. As long as you do that, you should be able to have multiple people using one Skillshare account without any issues.

Skillshare is a great online learning platform to use if you are a curious person who enjoys learning new things. Its database of classes can be very useful and interesting to be a part of. The video lessons are way more fun, than reading books and the sound quality is always perfect.

To be able to use Skillshare for longer, you will need to sign up for a premium membership each month. This allows you to pay one set fee each month while getting to use the website as frequently as you want.

Skillshare is also not necessarily an educational website. They do not give out certificates, and their classes are not usually taught by professionals.

Anyone can create a Skillshare class, so employers, colleges, and universities will not recognize Skillshare. It is a great way to learn new skills, but it does not apply to the real working world.

This is why Skillshare is a great way to broaden your knowledge and learn new skills. But it is not a good way to further your career unless you are in a creative or self-employed field.

Overall, Skillshare is great if you are interested in learning new things. It can be a great way to pass the time but don’t expect to be able to use it as educational or work credits. What Skillshare offers for the price is amazing.
