The Service Team is responsible for providing an exceptional service experience for our guests. Servers greet customers, answer questions related to the menu items, and make recommendations. Servers take food and beverage orders from guests to deliver to the drink station and kitchen, and perform cleaning duties, such as tidying up server station, taking out trash, and checking and cleaning bathroom. *Please note, although it is not necessary to handle guest payments to volunteer as a server position; if you would like to, you must complete a basic background check. This is only to ensure the security of our guests’ payment methods.

Are you a people person? The Host/Hostess is the first person our guests meet at Taste Community Restaurant. Hosts/Hostesses may explain our pay-what-you-can concept and ensure folks feel welcome and important. Host/Hostesses show guests to their seats and ensure everyone feels right at home. Greet guests as they come and go with a warm smile and making eye contact. Prepare tables for meals, including arranging additional chairs and/or high chairs and ensuring a clean table setting is prepared. Manage the flow of Guests into the Dining area, provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriate Inform Guest of current promotion and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff Clean and organize menus for reuse. Clean lobby floors and counters ensuring a tidy host stand. Open doors for guests as they come and go and welcoming them to come back again!
