TPC Colorado | Top 100 Golf Courses

When it opened for play in 2019, the Art Schaupeter-designed golf course at TPC Colorado was the first new layout to be unveiled in the Centennial State for a decade. Located at Heron Lakes, to the north west of Berthoud, along the eastern edge of Lonetree Reservoir, TPC Colorado is situated 18 miles south of Fort Collins and 49 miles north of Denver.

Designed in the style of a Scottish links with an out-and-back routing and featuring dozens of revetted pot bunkers, the layout occupies 110 acres of irrigated tees, fairways and greens with an overall yardage that can be stretched to almost 8,000 yards for professional tournaments.

The TPC Colorado Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour – which is a development tour for the main PGA Tour – was first played here in 2019, with Argentinean Nelson Ledesma’s 15 under par total winning the tournament by one stroke from Australian Brett Coletta.

The par five 13th played to an outrageous 773 yards from the tips in that event, which is the longest ever for a hole used for a PGA Tour-sanctioned competition, some 83 yards more than the next in line. What’s even more incredible is that this hole was only the eighth toughest that week.
