Tampa’s Sa Ri One has opened a Korean food deli near University of South Florida | Creative Loafing Tampa Bay
Sa Ri One’s deli in Tampa, Florida is now open near USF and has sweet red bean buns and other Korean desserts all pre-packaged for sale.
Sa Ri One Korean restaurant has opened a fast-casual style deli version of its popular restaurant concept in the University area, next to Cookie Munchers at 11842 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. just north of Fowler Avenue.
Though not advertised on any social media platform, or even listed on Google, a couple of Facebook posts have confirmed the restaurant is open and serving kimbap (rice rolls) with bulgogi beef or tuna mayo, both rolled to order. There’s refrigerated bulk sides, like cucumber kimchi and pickled radish, plus sweet red bean buns and other Korean desserts all pre-packaged for sale. Another Facebook customer showed the Korean drink Sac Sac and shrimp crackers as part of their haul.
Creative Loafing Tampa Bay has been unable to get a hold of anyone to discuss the new store, so we will excitedly go research in person and update this article with the hours of operation and any other information we find.
Sa Ri One’s flagship restaurant is on Cypress Street just off Interstate-275; another Sa Ri One grill location is in Town ‘n Country.
