Mountain desert golf at its finest. This is a course situated into the upper base of the Catalina Mountains with grand vistas of the Tucson Valley from the upper tees, coupled with up hill backdrop views of the mountain’s rock formations and Saguaro forests. This WOW Factor coupled with a Robert Trent Jones Jr. layout in a very wonderful golf experience. Be sure to grab a drink and a sandwich at the grille after your round. The view from the large patio of the giant pond and waterfall with the Catalina’s as a backdrop is memorizing. We played on a Monday morning and pace of play was 3.5 hrs. without waiting on the group in front of us. The only drawback would that this is not a course for walkers or beginners. However, there are five tee options so that helps the once a month golfer enjoy the round. We were treated promptly by the pro shop, the starter and the bag/cart assistants. They have a course marshal during the busy winter season to keep pace of play on point.
