The National Golf Club of Louisiana, Westlake, LA

One of the state’s newest courses and located in Westlake, the National Golf Club has been named one of the most affordable courses and features an excellent practice area where you can test and sharpen your skills. There are 14 lakes, 65 bunkers, and some of the most challenging greens around in the 7,000-yard in the area plus an instructional camp with teachers who know the game. Individual and group lessons are available, and the club has year-round events for men and women of all ages and abilities.

Belle Terre, La Place, LA

The literal translation of belle terre is “beautiful land” and the public golf course that bears that name is just that. Located in La Place, Louisiana, Belle Terre is considered one of the most beautiful locations in the area and is renowned for the peaceful quiet surroundings of its 18-hole championship course designed by Pete Dye. Golfers of all skill levels will find a place to improve their game on one of the four tees that cover nearly 7,000 yards. Dumas Memorial Golf Course, Baton Rouge, LA

Originally opened as a nine-hole course in 1976, Trail’s End Golf Course in Arcadia, Louisiana, grew to include an 18-hole course. Nestled at the highest elevation in the parish, this public golf course sponsors scrambles, tours, and tournaments designed to improve your game no matter what skill level you maintain.
