Pressed for time? No problem. The Loma Club’s nine holes are approachable and fun, with some deceptively tricky hazards. Once you’ve sunk your last putt, head over to the renowned on-site bar and grill for some of the best food you’ll ever shake a club at. The Loma Club is also home to the recently opened Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails, so you can practice your putting even if you aren’t in the mood for a round of full-sized fairways.

This lush course in beautiful Mission Valley is 18 holes of picture-perfect, gently rolling green grounds. It’s earned the reputation of being one of San Diego’s most flat-out fun courses to play thanks in large part to its good balance of challenge and straight-ahead holes. Visitors will also find an illuminated all-hours driving range for practice, a pro shop, and delicious dining at the Sunset Grille — so be sure to stop in for a bite after you play.

Are you a bit of a night owl? This 18-hole public course is one of the few in San Diego where you can play at night under stadium-style lights. Its stunningly landscaped grounds are nestled in the beachside community of Pacific Beach, itself a fantastic oceanfront community that’s a great place to visit. Even better, Mission Bay is where a young Tiger Woods won a Junior World title, so there’s definitely some history around these holes.
