A delectable meal and a sublime view of the water is the best dinner theatre in the world. You get both at Pisco by the Beach, the newest waterfront restaurant in Goa. Nestled on the picturesque Anjuna beach, Pisco is built to maximise the incredible sea views while gorging on the resort cuisine by chef Rohan Dsouza. “We fell in love with the plot the moment we saw it and knew the restaurant had to be conceptualised like a resort villa with great views of the Arabian Sea. We also had to keep in mind the dual vibe concept they wanted to introduce in Goa. So we worked towards finding a middle ground between a leisurely day spot and a fine dine experience towards the evening,” explain Sheldon Pereira and Rahul Thakkar, co-founders and principal designers at ‘Right Brain Design’.
The interiors of Pisco are as enticing as the stunning setting. Sprawled over 3,900 square feet, the restaurant and bar is built to resemble a lavish home on a tropical island. A long foyer accented with hand-painted plates lead to a soft, breezy dining room framed by sea views. “We wanted to ensure that all guests get to enjoy the sea view and not just a few in a certain section of the restaurant. So we created a raised area as well as a lower central space to maximise the view,” explains Pereira. A bar clad in pink subway tiles and an olive green back steals the show. The white marble tabletop offers striking contrast while woven cane chandeliers and cane bar stools harmonise with the elegant seaside setting. Materials like rattan, jute and bamboo meld perfectly with the earthy tones and beachy aesthetic in every nook. Large wood-framed chandeliers bring an ornamental note to an otherwise laidback composition.
In keeping with the laidback, beachy vibe, rattan, jute, and bamboo dominate the material palette.
