This popular Midwest restaurant and winery chain will open 2 Arizona locations this year

Illinois-based chain Cooper’s Hawk, a winery and restaurant company, will open two locations in Arizona this year.

The company’s locations each include a restaurant and bar, wine tasting room, artisan market come bottle shop and a wine club. All of the wines are made by the company’s namesake winery in Illinois and are served at locations from Brookfield, Wisconsin to Naples, Florida. The new Arizona locations will be the company’s first restaurants west of Kansas City, Missouri.

Although neither of the Arizona restaurants have opening dates yet, a spokesperson for the company confirmed the Cooper’s Hawk plans to expand into Arizona with locations in Scottsdale and Chandler.

What is Cooper’s Hawk?

Cooper’s Hawk was founded in 2005 in Illinois and now has locations throughout the eastern half of the United States. The two Arizona locations will be the chain’s furthest west. 

The winery that produces bottles for Cooper’s Hawk is located in Woodridge, Illinois where the company receives grapes from vineyards around the world. With the help of a lead sommelier, the winery creates about 700,000 cases of blends and single varietal wines per year, according to the company website.

Each restaurant location serves an array of those house wines including red, white, rosé and dessert wine. Customers can also try multiple wines served in tasting flights or sample four different varieties of sangria.

Along with the plentiful drink options, Cooper’s Hawk also offers a full food menu, with each menu item, from fish and chips to filet mignon, accompanied by a wine pairing recommendation. 

For those who try wine at the restaurant and really fall in love, Cooper’s Hawk also has a wine club. With different levels of membership, customers receive the winemaker’s new released wine every month, access to members only events, restaurant discounts and birthday rewards among a host of other perks.

Here’s where the Arizona restaurants will be

The Scottsdale restaurant will be located at 7361 E. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd.

in Scottsdale, on the southeast corner of Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd. and Scottsdale Road inside the Scottsdale Promenade shopping center.

The address is listed on the company’s website along with a liquor licence that was filed for approval at the end of December. 

The Chandler location does not yet have a permanent address.
