1-on-1 Consulting w/JoHanna Shortt- $125/Hr.

JoHanna is a multi certified educator and master lash extensionist in Springfield, MO. She has trained and certified students from the entire Mid-West Region as far south as Southern Arkansas and up to the Northernmost  parts of MO for over 2 years. You will not find anyone within 100’s of miles that has invested as much time and energy into on-going lash extension education as JoHanna. Her top-notch reputation around the greater Springfield Missouri area, as well as everyone working under her inside The Lash Room and Brow far exceeds local industry standards. Client’s that come for services within the shop travel all of the way from Lebanon, Mo, Joplin, Mo, Branson, Mo, and the Arkansas-Missouri state lines for regular lash appointments. We are the leading 417 salon for all lash and brow services.

There is a 2 hour minimum for consulting, each additional hour after that is $100/hr. and you bring all of your own tools and supplies. Mentoring is available for lash extensions, and also all things related to lashes and brows (i.e. lash lifting, tinting, brow threading, shaping, lamination, and waxing, as well microblading and/or microshading. This is not a class or certification, it is consulting and/or mentoring, there is not a training manual included. We retail eyelash extension supplies and have those options for sale if they’re needed to conduct the session. To use our products or tools during your booking, a product fee will be incurred.

Have you already received lash training but need more? Lash mapping, identifying eye shapes and how to correct them are briefly talked about in some classes but not gone into detail on how to execute them. As a new lash artist, focusing on perfectly bonded one-to-one lashes, direction, and mastering isolation and separation skills are what is required for a solid technical foundation. If you don’t have this solid foundation, the artistry becomes less important because your application skills are still a work in progress.

Do you know how to build density and a thick top line with layering? Do you know how to correctly do a fill and when to remove and replace extensions? Maybe you already know these things but want some guidance in different fan building techniques,  choosing the right fan diameter or fan wrapping for super strong bonds that aren’t T-barred? Do your client’s struggle with retention? Bring one in and we can evaluate your process from consultation to aftercare, what humidity your room is at or if your adhesive dries too quickly for your pace. Client’s should be able to go (if they want to) 2-3.5 weeks and maintain 50% of their extensions. If your client’s can barely make it 2 weeks, there are several reasons why (and it may or may not be your client’s fault!) Either way, after 2 hours spent together and you bring in your current clients or models, I can figure out the changes that need to be made so that your extensions stay bonded for the life of the lash or until you replace it!
