WHAT’S THE MOST EXPENSIVE RESTAURANT IN ATLANTA?

I was doing some research on our grand city yesterday, and I noticed that hundreds of hundreds of people a month ask Google the question, “What’s the most expensive restaurant in Atlanta?” I have to admit, I was intrigued by the answers…and I need to share.

Haute Living names St Cecilia as most expensive, Ford Fry’s Buckhead restaurant focusing on European coastal cuisine.

Overwhelmingly, though, most publications give the title to Bacchanalia – their four course, prix fixe menu runs $95 per person.

Chefs/Owners Anne Quatrano and Clifford Harrison created this Atlanta staple in 1993. All ingredients are organic, and most come from their own personal farm.

Umi – also in Buckhead – is run by Sushi master Fuyuhiko Ito. I can attest that every bite of this menu is worth any price. It’s one of my favorite treats.

Bones has reportedly been Atlanta’s most expensive steakhouse, but Marcel is gaining traction in this area. Also a Ford Fry establishment. The elegant “man-cave” textiles here are exceptionally warm and charming.

Beyond Atlanta?

Savannah boasts Elizabeth on 37th as their most expensive cuisine, at $90 per person for 7 courses of delicious indulgence.

And the most expensive in the US? It’s in New York. A unique sushi experience called Masa. Expect to pay $595 per person for the tasting menu. And according to the beloved Anthony Bourdain, it is worth it.
