General Disney Golf Information

Walt
Disney World has three outstanding championship golf
courses (These courses were part of the PGA
Tour for 42 years from 1971 -2012)
and a par-36 walking course. Walt Disney World golf courses are run by Arnold Palmer Golf Management.

Golf is available to the general public and resort guests
at Disney’s Palm, Magnolia and Oak Trail Golf Courses (across from Disney’s
Polynesian Village Resort), and at the Lake Buena
Vista course (near Disney Springs/Saratoga Spring Resort).
Appropriate golf attire is required (dress code is found below).

The golf carts at Disney’s Palm, Magnolia and Lake Buena Vista Golf Courses have GPS units installed on them. The units provide instant diagrams of every hole with the yardage from the cart to the flagstick for each green. It also shows the layout of every hole and the yardage you’ll need for your next shot. This service is complimentary with your cart rental.

Orlando residents also have the option of becoming members of the Players Club. For $29 per month, members can use the practice ranges for free and take advantage of free daily golf clinics (Mon-Fri) led by PGA-certified golf instructors. Members can also play on one of the four golf courses for only $15 at certain times of day. Guests of the members will receive a special rate as well. For more info, call (407) WDW-GOLF.

Golfers at the Walt Disney World Resort golf courses can now add the rental of a Robo-Cart, a small robotic golf cart that uses GPS and Bluetooth technology to transport your clubs safely around the course. Golfers can simply clip the cart’s small transmitter to their belt, load their golf bag on it and then the autonomous cart follows a few paces behind you wherever you go. If you stop, the cart stops. If you start walking, the cart starts moving (max speed is approximately 7 mph).

The Robo-Carts rent for $10 in addition to your green fees. They are available only at the Palm, Magnolia and Oak Trail courses.

The Walt Disney Resort golf courses also have Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy themed refreshment carts for a bit of added whimsy.

TIP: If you are staying at a WDW owned and operated resort and want to play golf, Disney will provide complimentary transportation to the golf courses for you. Contact bell services the night prior and let them know what course you are playing and your scheduled tee time. Bell services will give you a voucher for cab fare, and will also make sure there is a taxi waiting to take you to the course.
