REFUND POLICY: For a tuition refund, you must withdraw at least 48 hours before the first class begins. A $40 cancellation fee will apply. Please review class policies before registering.
Public Health Policy: Until further notice, all students and faculty must wear close-fitting masks whenever they are in the Theatre Lab building and must offer proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We recommend N95 or KN95 masks for the greatest protection, but other masks that cover the nose and mouth are acceptable.
At the beginning of each in-person class meeting, all students will also be required to complete a questionnaire to affirm: 1) that they are not experiencing symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 that cannot be attributed to another cause, and 2) that they have not recently been exposed to anyone with COVID-19. In-person students who are experiencing symptoms that cannot be attributed to another cause or who have had recent exposure will not be permitted to attend that class meeting.

Students who travel outside of the Washington Metropolitan area (DMV) — up to a week prior to the start of a course and continuing through the duration of the course — are required to self-identify and receive a negative COVID-19 test result (administered by a medical professional) before returning to an in-person class. Students should upload their negative test results here.
These safety protocols are in place because we care about the health of our students and staff, and we feel an obligation to do everything we can to help stop the proliferation of COVID-19. We will continue to review these protocols regularly in response to the evolving situation.
We have discovered that theatre education in masks works surprisingly well, and it has been a joy to offer opportunities for our students to gather together again. For anyone not ready to return in person, we continue to offer a wide variety of classes online.
“Fully vaccinated” means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized double-dose vaccines or that 14 days have passed since receiving the sole dose of FDA or WHO authorized single-dose vaccines. Proof of vaccination may be submitted via an online form. The link will be included in the email confirming your registration. Booster shots are strongly encouraged, and we will ask students about their booster status.
