All the Vital Updates on Restaurants and Bars at Detroit’s Shinola Hotel

Downtown Detroit is gaining a slew of new hotels over the next few years. One of the most anticipated of those big projects is the Shinola Hotel, a boutique property developed by high-end watchmaker and lifestyle brand Shinola and downtown real estate empire Bedrock. The hotel is slated to open in December 2018 anchored at 1400 Woodward Ave. across from the Hudson’s site development.

In addition to the stylish Shinola branding, the hotel will feature a variety of food and beverage options from James Beard Award-winning chef Andrew Carmellini’s New York-based restaurant group NoHo Hospitality as well as retailers such as Drought and Madewell and a cafe from Madcap Coffee. Details of the development have been trickling out slowly over the past year, but the floodgates opened this fall to confirm a cocktail bar called Evening Bar, a beer hall called the Brakeman, a fried chicken shop called Penny Red’s, and an Italian restaurant called San Morello.

Keep track of all the vital updates on food and beverage options right here as they come on line at the Shinola Hotel.
