If your animal gets injured or sick, having pet insurance allows you to get them the treatment they need while giving you peace of mind about how to pay for care.

ASPCA is a great option for pet insurance thanks to comprehensive coverage, customization of policy terms, and other benefits.

Depending on your policy, ASPCA pet insurance provides coverage for accidents, illnesses, hereditary conditions, and behavioral issues. This ASPCA Pet Insurance review will help you decide if they fit your needs.

In this review:

ASPCA Pet Insurance Coverage

ASPCA has been supplying pet insurance and other financial assets since 1997. It was one of the first pet insurance providers in the country. Since that time, they’ve processed over 1.6 million claims.

They offer a variety of plans, including complete coverage, accidental only coverage, and preventative care add ons if you also want wellness coverage.

Complete Coverage Plan

If you opt for the Complete Coverage Plan, you’ll be covered for exam fees, treatment, and diagnostic costs for accidents, illnesses, hereditary conditions, and behavioral issues.

You’ll pay your vet bill, submit your claim, and get money back for your expenses. The amount you get back will depend upon your annual deductible and which reimbursement percentage you choose for your package when you enrolled in the program.

You can opt to get reimbursed for of your covered bill. You can choose a deductible of .

Policies also have annual limits. When you sign up for coverage, benefit limits include .

Accident-Only Plan

If you don’t want the complete coverage package, you can get accident-only coverage. This would only cover exams fees, treatment, and diagnostic costs for injuries resulting from an accident.

Preventative Care Add On

If you want coverage for preventive care too, you can tack it on to your base plan for an additional cost every month.

There are important exclusions that you should be aware of, including pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures, and breeding costs.

ASPCA Pet Insurance Cost

Your cost depends on what plan you choose and premiums also vary based on deductibles and coverage maximums.

If you need to keep your ongoing costs low, opt for the higher deductible and a smaller annual payout limit. But keep in mind, if your pet has issues, you could be paying far more per year than you would have had to if you had complete coverage.
