A Bay Area restaurant got the surprise of a lifetime when it realized it was going to host a meal for one of the biggest names in music.Sol Food, a Puerto Rican restaurant in downtown San Rafael, got a call late Monday afternoon. The person on the phone asked them if they can accommodate 80 hungry Puerto Ricans.The restaurant quickly set up the dining room. And it was then when Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny rolled up with his entourage of staffers, crew and back-up dancers in black SUVs.Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, posed for a photo with staff. He was also seen serving plates and helping the kitchen staff out.”I think it’s really exciting to support, you know, local Puerto Rican cuisine, and it’s really authentic,” said Christie Chenette of San Rafael, a customer affiliate KTVU spoke with. “And I think it’s so cool that Bad Bunny and someone from Puerto Rico thought it was good enough to come here.”Bad Bunny ordered a plate of mofongo, which consists of mashed plantains and sauteed shrimp.The restaurant said it has seen an uptick in business since the singer’s visit.The singer is one of the most-streamed artists in the world. He performed at the Oakland Coliseum on Wednesday as part of his “World’s Hottest Tour.”His latest album, “Un Verano Sin Ti” (translated to “A Summer Without You”) was released this May.
