"Ruins is the place to be in Deep Ellum. While all Dallas establishments try to "out-cowboy" each other on the decor front, Ruins chose to go a whole other direction by bringing us back to the Aztec/Mayan era of Meso-America. That combined with their neon sign and dark interior make it one of the coolest aesthetics I've seen in Dallas.

Their margarita was my favorite of the three I had in Deep Ellum that afternoon (my girlfriend and I were navigating on our "Margarita passport"), and their house cocktail "Diabolico" I had afterwards was an amazing Mezcal drink and well worth the $13. Service was great too, the bar folks were super nice."
