Dining here is actually an experience that you will remember for a long time. The ambiance is very classic, old world and all about your comfort and pleasure. We felt very pampered and it was a great feeling.
We requested outdoor dining and were seated right in the middle of all the action, which was what we had hoped for. It was great for people watching, dog watching and cars cruising by in the popular St. Armands Circle. With minutes, we had crusty bread with butter placed in front of
us. Freshly baked, crusty, delicious.
Our server was the very creative, attentive, friendly and professional, Mannie. He was such a treat because he was “on it” the entire evening. He knew the menu inside and out and made perfect recommendations to us.
We started with a pitcher of Sangria. Mannie brought out a cart with all the ingredients and we watched him make it. So delicious!!
It was a very warm evening and the Sangria was so nice and cold. I ordered the Canelloni de Langosta, a lobster and scallop in lobster sherry sauce dish. It was out of this world! My daughter ordered the Seafood Paella dish, which is a special dish that takes a bit longer to cook. It, too, was incredibly delicious! Mannie again brought out the cart with the just cooked Paella still on the hot pan and finished serving it to her on a plate. We loved the experience!! Even though we were full, we made room and split their Tiramisu, which was different and more delicious than any we had before.
We cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and staff. They made sure we had a great evening there and we will return again when we visit Sarasota! You should include this wonderful place in your itinerary!
