    symptoms consistent with the stated illness or condition prior to the pet policy effective date; or

    recurrence of an injury that occurred prior to the pet policy effective date; or
  3. (3) any condition or complication
    resulting from an illness or injury that occurred prior to the pet policy effective date."

Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered
as long as your pet is not showing signs and the disease has not
been diagnosed or suspected prior to enrollment or during the waiting
period.

If your pet has been diagnosed with a cruciate ligament problem in one leg knee that
is pre-existing or that occurs during the waiting period, a cruciate problem in the other leg will not be
covered, even if it happens after the waiting period.

For Healthy Paws, cruciate ligament problems are the only bilateral exclusion on their policy.
