The original 18 holes is the South Course designed by Donald Ross.

Tee shots are generally forgiving, but the approach shots require great accuracy in order to have a legitimate chance at birdie.

The main features present throughout the course are water and numerous trees.

Four sets of tees are available for players are all skill sets, maxing out at 6229 yards.

Slim Deathridge, the club’s Head Professional and Manager, planned and constructed the North Course.

The 18 holes meander through oak and pine trees and were redesigned in 1997. Water is frequently in play and greens are challenging and undulating.

Many consider the North Course the more difficult of the two layouts, playing at 6413 yards from the tips.

How Much Does it Cost at Daytona Beach Golf Club?

Rates effective through November 5 are as follows:
7 am – 9:59 am, $38 to ride and $26 to walk
10 am – 12:59 pm, $29 to ride and $22 to walk
1 pm-close, $22 to ride and $17 to walk

Rates effective from November 6, to December 25, are as follows:
7 am – 9:59 am, $43 to ride and $30 to walk
10 am – 12:59 pm, $34 to ride and $25 to walk
1 pm-close, $27 to ride and $20 to walk
Junior rates are $19 to ride and $15 to walk

A rider fee for non-golfers ridings with the group is $18 plus tax.

Facilities

The driving range is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the summer but closes an hour early in the winter.

A small basket of balls is $4. The medium basket if $6, and the large basket is $10.

Both the practice chipping and putting greens are open from sunrise to sunset. You can also purchase $100 worth of range balls for $80.

Shop in the 3,500 square-foot pro shop for all the best in golf merchandise.

Shoes from Foot Joy, bags from Titleist and Ping, Balls from Titleist and Pinnacle, and gloves from Foot Joy and Titleist are all available.

2. Pelican Bay Golf Club

Pelican Bay is a championship caliber course that hosted two Senior PGA Tour Events.

Likely the most memorable moment in the course’s history was Orville Moody defeating Arnold Palmer with a chip-in during a sudden-death playoff.

Designed by Bill Amick, Pelican Bay is impeccable with holes meandering through pine, white cedars, and waterways.

Some distinguishing holes include the 230-year par 3 eighth and the 460-yard par 4 15th that features high tiers.

Warming up before a round is essential in order to get the most out of your game.

Pelican Bay’s practice area is one of the best places to work on your game before or after the round.

There is a complete driving range and practice area that is all-natural grass, target greens, bunkers, and putting/chipping greens.

Choose from a small bucket of 45 balls, a medium bucket of 80 balls, or a large bucket of 120 balls.

The practice area is open daily to the public from 6:30 am to 8:30 pm.

Besides a great practice area, Pelican Bay had a Grand Ballroom withs eight chandeliers and seating for 350 people, which increases to 500 with the outdoor patio and mezzanine.

The Lakeside Room has huge windows which provide a picturesque sunset view of the golf course.

Located in Ormand Beach, the Riviera Country Club has been around for nearly seven decades.

The championship level course is an 18-hole layout of par 71.

The course has welcomed players from all over the worse and best of all, there are no tee times required!

The club was ranked one of the best places to play by Golf Digest. In addition, The Riviera Open, a mini-tour event, is hosted annually.

How Much Does it Cost at Riviera Country Club?

Daily rates through May 15th are $4.69 before 12 pm and $37.50 after 12 pm, including mandatory cart.

Walkers pay $15 after 3 pm. Call between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm for seasonal specials.

Rates from May 16 through December 31 are $39.95 for 18 holes before 12 and $29.95 after 12. Nine holes rates are $29.95 with cart and $15 walking.

For those that wish to walk the entire course, the rate is $20.

Multiple play passes are available for $260 plus tax for 6, $410 plus tax for 10, and $750 plus tax for 20.

Note that the 6 and 10 play expires in 30 days and the 20 play expires in 60 days.

Memberships are available with varying rates for initiation fees, individual, family, junior, and seasonal dues.

Discounted cart rates and pro shop discounts are available for members. Cart rates for members are $8 for 9 holes and $12 for 18 holes.

Rental rates for pull carts are $2 and $15 for golf clubs.
