EMI is introducing a limited number of IS courses that have been translated to the Spanish language. You can find the complete list of courses in the Spanish language course list .

The Student Self Service Portal allows you to print or download Independent Study (IS) Completion Certificates, Student IS Transcripts (for personal or employer use) and Official IS Transcripts (for educational institutions only). Please review the IS FAQ’s for more information .

We will be performing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 7:00 AM ET. Service is expected to be restored by 10:00 AM ET. However, this could run over. During this time Independent Study exams, Online Admissions, NETC Transportation, IMDA, STAR and the EMI Student Portal will not be available. Please contact us if you experience any issues outside of this maintenance window.

EMI Courses & Schedules

To take an EMI course, applicants must meet the selection criteria and prerequisites specified for each course. Participants may not take the same course more than once.

Enrollment in EMI courses is generally limited to U.S. residents, however, each year a limited number of international participants are accommodated. Please see http://training.fema.gov/iaem.aspx for more information.
