There are three layouts at The Courses at Watters Creek in Plano, just north of Dallas. The Players Course is the middle course, a par-30 nine-hole layout, perfect for a quick nine or for those who just want to do a little work on their game. The Player Course, previously known as the Sawtooth at Chase Oaks, fits perfectly between Watters Creek’s championship course, The Traditions, and The Futures six-hole short course. It has six par-3 holes and three par-4s, meaning you can use just about every club in your bag. From the tips, the holes range from the 98-yard third to 392-yard ninth, the no. 1 handicap hole where most players can hit driver is they choose. There are just three bunkers and no forced carries and the holes are grassed from tee to green, which brings in all options of shots, including bump-and-runs. There are some water hazards, however, most notably lakes that run down the left side and right sides of the fairways on nos. 1 and 9 respectively.
