Golf is one of the most popular activities on the island for locals and visitors alike. Luckily, there are several places for you to go golfing right near our Marco Island vacation home rentals! Here are a few of our favorite golf clubs near Marco Island and Naples for you to visit while you’re in town.
Eagles Lake Golf Club
Eagles Lake Golf Club has been serving the Marco Island and Naples areas since 2005 and has everything you’ll need for an incredible day of golf. It all starts with the course itself: a par 72 championship course designed around 21 lakes. You can choose from one of the five sets of tees, ranging from 7,144 yards to 4,466 yards. Both casual players and experienced golfers will find a bit of a challenge here, as you’re led through the unique Everglades nature of the course. As you play, look out for beautiful wildlife like bald eagles and Florida gators!
In addition to the course itself, Eagles Lake Golf Club also offers golf instruction from Justin Rountree. Justin has nearly two decades of teaching experience and provides several different instruction packages, including private or couples’ lessons, total game management, and more. You can also find delicious dining and a fully stocked pro shop inside the clubhouse.
Eagles Lake Golf Club is located at 18100 Royal Tree Parkway in Naples. They are open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Hideaway Beach Golf Course
Hideaway Beach Golf Course has been a local favorite spot for years and went through a total renovation in 2005, so you know you’ll be experiencing the best golf if you book a tee time here. You can enjoy the nine-hole executive golf course and its breathtaking nature, no matter how experienced you are as a golfer. You’ll find beautiful Florida Live Oaks, Coconut Palm trees, and Bermuda grass throughout the course, perfect for a picturesque game.
Once your game is finished, you can visit the clubhouse for a mouthwatering meal with a fantastic view of the Gulf of Mexico. Hideaway Beach also has one of the biggest Pro Shops by Marco Island, which offers all kinds of equipment and attire for men and women alike. Feel free to browse at your leisure or ask one of the friendly staff members for assistance.
Hideaway Beach Golf Course is located at 250 South Beach Drive on Marco Island. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to dark.
The Island Country Club
Marco Island’s only 18-hole course can be found at The Island Country Club. This course was initially designed in 1966 by architect Dave Wallace and was later redesigned in 1991 with help from Gene Sarazen. The course has also gotten consistent upgrades over the years, recently welcoming brand-new Celebration grass and a whole new irrigation system. As you work your way throughout this par 72 course, you’ll experience beautiful features like the “Florida White” bunkers, lush tropical flowers along the fairways, and the abundance of wildlife that comes through to make their home here.
The Island Country Club also features a fantastic clubhouse with three dining rooms, giving you plenty of options when you want a bite to eat after your game. You can also head into the Pro Shop to pick out a new outfit or accessories for the next time you go golfing!
The Island Country Club is located at 500 Nassau Road on Marco Island. They are open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Lely Resort Golf and Country Club
Finally, the Lely Resort Golf and Country Club offers three distinct courses: The Mustang, The Flamingo Island, and The Classics. Each course is par 72 and holds a unique challenge for golfers of all skill levels. You’re sure to love the lush greens, beautiful Florida trees and plants, and fascinating wildlife that can be found on any one of the courses.
This resort also offers professional instruction from PGA Head Golf Professional Charles J. Lostracco and 54,000 square feet of practice facilities! You’ll also find two luxurious clubhouses as well as delicious dining at Sam Snead’s Oak Grill and Tavern.
