Free Electrician’s Technology Program

Electricians Technology is a nine-month FREE program offered through the Maine Jobs & Recovery Plan that provides a strong electrical/electronic foundation necessary to meet the increasing technological demands of the electrical trade. Designed for the individual interested in becoming a licensed electrician, this program provides the 576 hours of education needed to meet the licensing requirements of the State of Maine.

This course is set to begin on Spring 2023.

Upon successful completion of the program, the State of Maine Electrician Examining Board will allow the student to sit for the Journeyman’s Examination.  The Electricians Technology program also can be used to meet the educational requirements for various limited electrician licenses.

Students will need to provide an official copy of their HS transcript, as well as immunization documents for COVID 19, MMR, and TD.

Please email workforce@emcc.edu with any questions in the meantime. By filling out the waitlist form, you will be put on our contact list so we can let you know when registration for this program opens.
