Gino's Restaurant & Bar

STATEMENT REGARDING COVID-19

The health and safety of our guests, as well as our family of employees, is the No. 1 priority for Gino’s. As a fixture in the Sellwood community for nearly 24 years, it is our responsibility to be proactive in challenging times. As a family-run business, it is our highest priority to support the health and well-being of our team members and community throughout this challenging time. We want to assure you that our staff is more vigilant than ever where guest safety is concerned, and we are diligently following the recommendations of local, state, and federal health authorities.

We have taken several precautionary steps beyond our customary, stringent practices including providing information and reinforcing best practices around proper hygiene and illness prevention with all staff. Hand sanitizer is readily available at high-touch points throughout the restaurant, and we have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection in all areas. We have ensured all cleaning chemicals align with E.P.A. recommendations, and we have a tenured, in-house team assigned during and after service, who are dedicated to cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting to the highest standards.

Currently, we are following guidance and recommendations from the City of Portland Health Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), while continuing to evaluate our standard procedures. Our restaurants have been meeting food safety and sanitation standards for decades, so these protocols are already in place, and we continue to maintain the highest possible standards in service and product quality.

However, as we continue to monitor current events, we are increasing these protocols, with additional layers of caution and mindfulness, to provide peace of mind to our guests and team members.

Additionally, all staff members have been advised not to report to work and to seek medical attention if they are experiencing flu-like symptoms or have come into contact with affected individuals.

As is the case nationwide, we are also seeing a tremendous surge in support throughout this community – united in an effort to keep everyone safe and healthy while supporting small businesses.
