The very founder of Lake Havasu City, Robert P. McCulloch Sr., realized the importance of a golf course and then built it, along with buying and relocating the London Bridge, as a featured attraction to draw potential land buyers to the rapidly developing city.

The course was built in 1965, with the front nine opening a couple of years after and the back nine in 1969.

Oldé London has a traditional layout with lots of water hazards and sand bunkers all over the entire course.  It pans out to 6466 yards and has verdant Bermuda grass on fairways.
