Green Company

Green Company was a unit within the 41st Elite Corps and Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. It was led mainly by Green Leader, but sometimes Commander Gree.

History

Battle of Rishi

Around 21 BBY, Green Company was deployed to the planet Rishi in the Kamino system to stop the Confederacy of Independent Systems from forcing raw materials from the natives. The clone troops were led by Rishii cheiftain Gwarrk, as no Jedi were available. The troopers were told to hold their attack until a Jedi was available, but Gwarrk was impatient and led the battle before one arrived. When Jedi Master Kit Fisto and his men did arrive, they helped the clone troopers of Green Company and told them to fall back. Soon, the battle was won for them.

Rescue of Tranquility

Senator Padmé Amidala was sent on a diplomatic mission to Rodia, where she soon, with the aid of Jar Jar Binks, captured Viceroy Nute Gunray. Green Company and parts of the 41st Elite Corps were sent to transfer custody of the prisoner to the Tranquility, where he would travel to Coruscant to be held on trial.

The Viceroy was successfully transported to the Tranquility, and the Jedi interrogated him. While in the middle, Separatist boarding crafts carrying super battle droids and droid fighters attack the ship and began their rescue attempt on the Neimoidian. Green Company, led by Green Leader, was deployed to the hangar bay to prevent the approaching droids from spreading out. Fighting a hard battle, the remainder of Green Company was fighting the battle droids in the hallways and the clones in the hangar bay were overrun and killed.

One trooper tried to alert the other clones of the invading Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress, but he was killed. Green Leader also sent a message of distress to his commander before he was killed, saying they needed reinforcements. The last six reinforcements of the force retreated down to the detention level where the Viceroy was held, and three of them died before Luminara Unduli and the others helped them and destroyed all of the droids.
