Beginning May 1, 2022, immigration status does not matter. California Residents who are 50 or older and who meet all Medi-Cal eligibility criteria may qualify for full-scope Medi-Cal.

It is important for the County of San Mateo to have your current contact information. Please report any changes in your contact information so you don’t miss important information about your Medi-Cal coverage. Please report all updated contact information, such as your phone number, email address, or home address, to your local county office online or by phone at 800-223-8383, email: www.mybenefitscalwin.org or in person or you can drop off documents with your updated information using the drop boxes outside of our offices.

Are you enrolled in Medi-Cal? if your contact information has changed in the last two years, Give us your updated information so you can stay enrolled. You can update your contact information online at CoveredCA.com, mybenefitscalwin.org, 800-223-8383 or find your local county offices.

Older Adult Expansion and Asset Limit Changes

There are changes coming to Medi-Cal programs for older and disabled people, which will make it possible for more people to get Medi-Cal coverage. California residents who are 50 years of age or older who meet all Medi-Cal eligibility criteria will be able to get full scope Medi-Cal and immigration status does not matter. Other people will get to keep more property (like money in checking or savings accounts) while staying on Medi-Cal.
