What Will the Health Insurance Marketplace Plan® Cover?

 

All plans include:

  • Laboratory services

     

  • Rehabilitative services and devices

Some plans can also offer benefits like: 

  • Vision

     

  • Dental

     

  • Medical management programs for specific diseases or conditions.

     

Health Insurance Marketplace® plans fall into four categories – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. Each has its own monthly and out-of-pocket costs: 

  • Bronze

     covers 60% of the total average costs of care

     

  • Silver

     covers 70% of the total cost of care

     

  • Gold

     covers 80% of the total cost of care

     

  • Platinum

     covers 90% of the total cost of care

     

Open Enrollment Begins Nov. 1, 2021

 

Sign up for 2022 coverage during the open enrollment, Nov. 1, 2021 through Jan. 15, 2022. You can shop for plans by phone, through a broker, or online at Healthcare.gov or state-based marketplace where it is easy to compare benefits and costs.  

Currently receive charity care? Be sure you are covered after your charity care ends. Sign-up for health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace®. Health insurance covers doctor visits and prescription medicines. Charity care does not.

2022 Financial Assistance Income Chart

Look for your income and household size on this chart to see whether you qualify for financial assistance when purchasing health insurance. Subsidies are typically available to all households making less than 400% of the Federal Poverty Limit. Those households with incomes closest to 100% of the Federal Poverty Limit often have coverage options with $0 premiums after subsidies.
