Ōku Asian Eatery is a Southeast Asian-inspired restaurant situated on Franschhoek’s main road.

The restaurant interior is inspired by the minimalistic design popular in the traditional Asian culture with delicate artwork and unique bonsai trees decorating the walls of the restaurant. 

The team guided by Ryan Shell has created an ever-evolving menu that showcases traditional Asian-themed tones in a respectful manner whilst using high-quality local and seasonal produce. Our passionate front of house team is driven to deliver excellence in all aspects of service whilst displaying empathy for all of our guests by attending to their needs and desires. 

Our wine list is focused on local wineries from in and around the valley as well as a selection of cocktails and sakes, including our own house brand beer-styled sakes.
